MELINDA DOOLITTLE - ‘Inside and Out’: This was…ok. I wasn’t totally impressed. In fact, I kind of agree with Simon to some degree. On the other hand, I think she did as best as she could, considering it was kind of a difficult week for the females. Score: 6
BLAKE LEWIS - ‘You Should Be Dancing’: He always brings an interesting flavor to the mix. I didn’t really love this, though. He is still very talented, but I think the contestants might be getting tired, or something. Score: 6
LAKISHA JONES - ‘Staying Alive’: I thought she did ok. These performances aren’t all that exciting. I thought this was a good song choice initially, but I didn’t care for the tempo change. Boy, the way this looks, it’s gonna be a long night. Score: 7
JORDIN SPARKS: ‘To Love Somebody’: This is the first great performance of the night! I just love her voice! She’s amazing and 17 years old at that! It wasn’t her best, but she did a really great job. Score: 8
MELINDA DOOLITTLE - ‘How Can You Mend a Broken Heart’: This was better than the first, but I have to admit, I had to rewind it to appreciate it. I was bored at first, but then I heard those great notes and it was like, “whoa!” I agree with Simon, the second half of the song put her in the semi-finals. Score: 9
BLAKE LEWIS - ‘This is Where I Come In’:I think Blake is going to have a career no matter what. That being said, this performance was ok. It was better than the first, but it just wasn’t exciting. I think Blake might be in trouble. Score: 7
LAKISHA JONES - ‘Run To Me’:This performance was unmemorable. She did ok at first, but then I got lost in boredom. Boy, this night has been long! Score: 6
JORDIN SPARKS - ‘A Woman In Love’: She looks amazing! And what a beautiful arrangement of this song! I really liked it. I agree with Randy, it wasn’t her best, but she did a great job, anyway. Score: 9
The best: Jordin
The worst: Lakisha
Who’s going home: Lakisha or Blake
